Take A Minute

Have you ever had those thoughts, or that voice in your head tell you "You can't" or something similar?
You're feeling good enjoying your day and there it is out of no where... the negativity, the self doubt, the self sabotage.
Well, if you are like me, or how I used to be this "mind chatter" would throw me for a loop and derail the train.
The vision or goal that I was in pursuit of would seem to be just out of reach.
I was almost there and this brief, or what I thought to be brief moment of negativity would keep my goal out of reach.
Most of the time I was unaware of this "mind chatter" but now I realize that it is almost always there, just under the surface, ever so faintly whispering in my ear of how it will never be.
Well have I got good news for you!
It's just your ego talking.
And, you are not your ego.
All you have to do to regain control and refocus is to take a moment.
When the "mind chatter" begins take a step back and focus your thoughts on the You that You intend to BEcome.
Focus on the positive emotions that are associated with BEING that person.
Do this every time the ego attempts to derail you.
If this becomes a habit for you and then part of your daily routine I can guarantee that you will change.
The "mind chatter" will be there but only briefly now.
Try it.
