Who is a hero?

  
    Who is a hero? What are the qualities of a hero? Are there any hero's left? These questions are actually the basis for this entry. Even though most of them can be answered by you, the reader, I shall try to incorporate fact and personal opinion in order to give a better understanding of the qualities a hero possesses.
    Now let’s talk about who is a hero.
In my opinion, a hero is a person, who possesses three main qualities:
    1. Sacrifice
    2. Courage
    3. Compassion (a word with only one definition, but so much meaning. )


    The quality, which makes a hero who he is. It’s not just courage and intelligence that define a hero, but also compassion. Compassion for life – a trait that is very important, a trait that stands out the most.
     First, let me give you the meaning of this word:
Compassion - sympathetic feeling. Sympathy and compassion are the same things, and both of these should not just exist in a hero, but also in every one of us.

    Most would say sacrifice tops the list when it comes to intrinsic requirements of a hero, to sacrifice is noble, and what are heroes if not noble in cause and deed? In my personal opinion, though, I'd say courage, and bravery score high - these are the qualities that make a hero stand out from the rest. Then comes valor, in war, selflessness and focus on the greater good, at the cost of his own happiness or desire. Heroes persevere in the face of failure, they toil on till they succeed, and dedication and single mindedness of purpose are all characteristics of a hero. In addition, obviously, a hero is unswervingly loyal and committed to his cause.

     A hero is within you. You possess these qualities. You have these attributes. For you to be a hero all you have to do is take action when the time arises. Believe in yourself and your abilities. Just because you lack the tights and cape is irrelavant.

      You are a hero. You are destined for greatness. People will call out your name with gratitude while you are here and they will tell stories of your accomplishments if you choose you take action.
